The Tampa Bay Black Business Investment Corporation, Inc. (BBIC) is a U.S. Treasury certified Community Development Entity dedicated to providing business and funding opportunities for the long-term growth and success of small businesses. Tampa Bay BBIC was established as a nonprofit in 1987 to serve businesses owned and operated by African-American entrepreneurs, providing loans to a historically underserved market segment of the community, but now serves entrepreneurs of all ethnic backgrounds. The Tampa Bay BBIC also provides services to small business such as underwriting, analysis of business and personal financial statements, site visits, technical assistance – services that may not be cost effective for banks.
We are a local investment organization dedicated to providing business and funding opportunities for the long-term growth and success of small businesses in the Tampa Bay Community.
The need for Tampa Bay BBIC to continue and expand its programs to help develop new and existing businesses increases annually. We are thankful for community partners contribute greatly to loan volume, which is more than $12 million since Tampa Bay BBIC’s inception.
