LRH Medical Center recognized as high performing in five procedures and conditions Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center has been listed in U.S. News & World Report’s 2026-2027 Best Hospitals edition as a high performing hospital for abdominal aortic aneurysm repair, colon cancer surgery, heart failure, knee replacement, and pacemaker implantation. This is the highest distinction a hospital can earn as part of U.S. News’ Best Hospitals Procedures & Conditions ratings. The annual Procedures & Conditions ratings from U.S. News are designed to assist patients and their healthcare providers in making informed decisions about where to receive care for challenging health conditions as well as elective procedures. “We are proud to be recognized by U.S. News & World Report once again for the expert care provided to patients at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center,” said Danielle Drummond, MS, FACHE, president and CEO of Lakeland Regional Health. “We are grateful for the dedicated team members who provide truly excellent and compassionate care to our patients and their families every day.” U.S. News evaluated nearly 4,500 hospitals across 14 adult specialties and 23 procedures and conditions; less than half earned recognition in any of the 37 areas of care. To determine the Best Hospitals, U.S. News analyzed each hospital’s performance based on objective measures such as risk-adjusted mortality rates, preventable complications, and level of nursing care.
