Congratulations to our June 2026 Small Business of the Month, CatDave Productions, LLC! Owned by Cathy and Dave Cook, CatDave Productions specializes in photographic portrait sessions for families, businesses, sports teams, preschools, and high school seniors. The studio also provides professional headshots for business leaders and their teams, event photography, instant headshot services, and recently expanded into sports and preschool photography with an automated ordering system designed to make the experience easier for parents. Receiving the recognition is especially meaningful to the Cooks because of their deep ties to the local business community. "We are so thrilled to be named the Chamber's Small Business of the Month!" said owner Cathy Cook. "The Lakeland Chamber is a huge part of our personal community and home. It's a great honor to be recognized!" CatDave Productions began in Michigan in 2014 before relocating to Lakeland in 2019. Since then, the business has focused on building relationships throughout the community while re-establishing its brand in a new hometown. "We started our business in 2014 in Michigan," Cook said. "When we moved to Lakeland in 2019, we immediately got busy in the local and state professional photography realm and in the Lakeland business community." Like many small businesses, their transition to Florida came with its own challenges, but Chamber involvement helped create opportunities for growth and visibility. "It's been a challenge to re-establish our business in a new hometown," Cook said. "The Chamber has allowed us to become a familiar face at leads meetings, at ribbon cuttings, at after-hours events, at our on-location jobs, and in our community at large. We are so grateful to be here with our Lakeland community, and our children and grandchildren!" The Cooks credit the Chamber's networking opportunities with helping strengthen relationships throughout the local business community. "Being a part of the Lakeland Chamber's Leads groups and being the Tuesday Leads coordinator has put us in touch with so many other business owners," Cook said. "It's very satisfying to be able to connect businesses to each other in order to meet their needs and enhance their reach." Beyond their business, Cathy and Dave are dedicated to serving the community. Cathy has volunteered on the boards of local and state professional photography organizations and has judged photography entries at the Florida Strawberry Festival since 2022 alongside fellow professional photographers. Together, Cathy and Dave also volunteer extensively at Church for the One.
