Tampa, FL. (April 27, 2023) – Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is pleased to announce their spring Shred Your Stuff Day event at their Lakeland branch, open to anyone in the community. No LMCU membership is required.
From 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 13, anyone can bring up to six boxes around 12”x10”x12” in size filled with sensitive or personal documents to LMCU’s Lakeland branch, located at 439 S Florida Ave, and have them professionally shredded and disposed of for free.
Those looking to have their documents shredded are asked to join the event’s drive-through line at the branch and remain in their vehicles for the safety of staff and participants.
“We have been doing these events for years, and they are a great way for community members to get rid of documents taking up space while also better protecting themselves from identity theft,” said LMCU Vice President of Community Relations, Matt Cook.
