Free community event on April 25 focuses on women’s mental health, mindfulness, and connection Latinas Profesionales in Action (LPA) is proud to announce the 2nd Annual Women’s Wellness Experience, taking place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Depot Arts District by Lakeland Arts Association in Lakeland, Florida. The event is free and open to the public. Created as a welcoming space for women of all backgrounds, the Women’s Wellness Experience centers on mental health, mindfulness, and meaningful connection. The event offers a full day of programming designed to support emotional well-being, encourage self-care, and foster community through shared experiences. Attendees can expect a thoughtfully curated schedule that includes mindful movement (yoga & pilates), guest speakers, creative wellness activities, a mini sound bath meditation, local wellness vendors, and community resources. The experience is intentionally designed so women can participate at their own pace, whether they attend one session or spend the entire day immersed in the full event. “This event was created to give women space: space to pause, breathe, and feel supported,” said Lupita Alvarez, Co-Founder of Latinas Profesionales in Action. “Women are carrying so much, and the Women’s Wellness Experience is about reminding them they don’t have to carry it alone.” Yesenia Loor, Co-Founder of Latinas Profesionales in Action, added: “The Women’s Wellness Experience is a signature event created by LPA, intentionally designed to pour into the women in our community. We saw a need for more accessible and intentional spaces where women—especially those often balancing so much—can feel seen, supported, and empowered to prioritize their wellbeing. Creating these spaces matters because when women are well, our communities thrive.” The 2026 event will feature two main speakers, Araceli Gauna-Scattolini, Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Atala Counseling, and Dr. Maresa Lugo, Neurologist & founder of NeuroCare Center. Together, they will bring both clinical expertise and compassionate insight to conversations around women’s mental and neurological health. Their sessions will explore emotional well-being, stress, and the often-overlooked brain changes that occur during midlife, including perimenopause and menopause. Attendees will gain both clarity and practical tools to better understand and support their overall well-being. In addition to programming, the event will host a curated lineup of local wellness, food, creative, and community vendors, offering attendees the opportunity to connect with small businesses and organizations aligned with holistic health and self-care. The Women’s Wellness Experience is made possible through the support of community sponsors, including Venue Salon, Central Florida Health Care and Crosby & Associates, whose contributions help keep the event free and accessible to the public.
