PCPS Announces Commitment Day 2026; Amazon Wish Lists for High School Seniors

Polk County Public Schools is excited to announce our annual Commitment Day! Each high school will host its own 2026 Commitment Day event to celebrate our graduating seniors who have made a commitment to their future, and we would be grateful for your support in making these celebrations meaningful. These events will take place during the last two weeks of April and will honor students who plan to attend college, a university, or a training program, as well as those entering the military or workforce.

Originally inspired by former First Lady Michelle Obama’s College Signing Day, our local tradition continues as we recognize all seniors taking their next steps. Celebrating our seniors’ accomplishments is more than a festive moment—it shows them that our community is proud of their dedication, invested in their future, and excited for what comes next.

We kindly request your support for our 2026 Commitment Day. With 6 high schools in the Lakeland area, our goal is to provide each school with items that will benefit students as they transition to college, the workforce, or military service. Each school has created an Amazon Wish List to make it easy for businesses and/or individual community members to support this special event for seniors. All items purchased will be shipped directly to the school.
