The community is invited to attend Pedalpalooza: a free, family-friendly bike safety event on Saturday, April 11, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. at Publix Field at Joker Marchant Stadium. Hosted by the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland, Pedalpalooza promotes youth bicycle safety while offering an afternoon of fun activities for families and children. The event will feature bike safety instruction, free helmet fittings for registered guests, demonstrations, and interactive activities designed to help young riders stay safe on the road. Special highlights include appearances and demonstrations from professional BMX rider Keegan Parks, motorcycle demonstrations by the Lakeland Police Department, and safety support from the Polk County Sheriff's Office. Additional community partners include Lakeland Regional Health and the Lakeland Police Athletic League. Food trucks and family activities will be available throughout the afternoon, and attendees are encouraged to stay after the event for Minor League Baseball as the Lakeland Flying Tigers take on the Daytona Tortugas. Game tickets are just $8, and $3 from every ticket sold will benefit the Kiwanis Club of Lakeland. All proceeds from Pedalpalooza support local scholarships and youth programs that help invest in the next generation of community leaders, including student scholarships, Key Clubs and K-Kids, Day Without Disabilities, Stuff the Bus, and others.
