Lakeland Regional Health Welcomes New Providers

Lakeland Regional Health has recently welcomed the following new providers to the medical staff. All providers listed below are accepting patients for care.

Breast Surgical Oncology – Eve Paxton, DO

Dr. Eve Paxton specializes in breast surgical oncology. Her clinical focus is on the surgical management of breast cancer and benign breast disease. Her specialized training also includes oncoplastic techniques. She is committed to providing comprehensive, individualized care that integrates the latest advances in breast surgery with a focus on quality of life and aesthetic outcomes. Paxton earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences in Yakima, Washington. After finishing a general surgery residency at Corewell Health in Detroit, Michigan, she completed a breast surgical oncology fellowship at Luminis Health Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Maryland.

Family Medicine – Jacob Glotfelty, DO

Dr. Jacob Glotfelty specializes in family medicine.  He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. He completed his family medicine residency at the UCF/HCA Ocala Family Medicine Program in Ocala, serving as Chief Resident and Education Chair of the program. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Glotfelty currently sees patients at the Imperial Lakes Primary Care office, but he is moving to the new Highland City location in December. For appointments, patients should call 863.284.5000.
 
Neurology – Alain Delgado, MD

Dr. Alain Delgado is a board-certified physician specializing in neurology.  He completed his neurology residency and a transitional internship at the National Capital Consortium (National Naval Medical Center and Walter Reed Army Medical Center) in Washington, D.C. He earned his Doctor of Medicine degree at Howard University College of Medicine, also in Washington, D.C. Delgado is board-certified in both Neurology and Sleep Medicine and has been practicing for more than 25 years. He also served as a Medical Officer in the U.S. Navy. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology as well as the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Fluent in English and Spanish, Delgado sees patients at the Parkway office. For appointments, patients should call 863.284.6809.
 
Neurology – Peaches Levy-Maxwell, APRN

Peaches Levy-Maxwell, APRN, is a board-certified nurse practitioner specializing in neurology. She is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses. Levy-Maxwell completed her master’s degree in nursing via the University of Phoenix and earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing at Miller’s College of Nursing in Orlando. As an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse with a focus on neurology, she is dedicated to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care for individuals facing a wide range of neurological conditions. With advanced clinical training and a deep understanding of the complexities of the nervous system, she works collaboratively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams to diagnose, manage, and support conditions such as epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, migraines, stroke recovery, and neuropathies.

Medical Oncology - Kelly Cragett-Knowles, ARNP-BC, AOCNP

Kelly Cragett-Knowles, ARNP-BC, AOCNP, is an advanced registered nurse practitioner specializing in medical oncology. She brings more than 15 years of oncology experience with a focus on delivering comprehensive, compassionate care to patients throughout their treatment journey. Her clinical background includes inpatient and outpatient oncology care, symptom management, treatment planning, follow-up care, and patient education within multiple oncology care settings. Cragett-Knowles earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees at Florida Southern College. She also earned an associate degree in nursing at Hillsborough Community College and completed the Licensed Practical Nursing Program at Traviss Technical School. She is certified as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and as an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner by the Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation.

She sees patients at the Hollis Cancer Center and at Lakeland Regional Health Medical Center. For appointments, patients should call 863.603.6565.
 
Behavioral Health – Bethany Houston, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Bethany Houston, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner specializing in the care of individuals with a wide range of behavioral and mental health conditions, including ADHD, autism, anxiety, and depression. She is committed to providing patient-centered care with an emphasis on collaboration with patients and families. Houston brings broad clinical experience across children’s outpatient care, neonatal intensive care, pediatric emergency medicine, and cardiovascular surgery care. She earned her Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees from Western Governors University and her Associate of Science in Nursing from Hillsborough Community College.
 
She sees patients at the Harrell Family Center for Behavioral Wellness. For appointments, patients should call 863.687.1222.
