Southeastern University (SEU) has reported its highest enrollment to date with 13,636 students enrolled through all deliveries as of fall 2025. These numbers represent 16% overall increase in enrollment across all deliveries since the fall of 2024, specifically: Over 2,200 undergraduate campus-based students A 34% increase in online enrollment More than 13% increase in enrollment of graduate-level students Nearly 12% increase in students enrolled at partner sites More than 6,600 dual enrollment students SEU’s customizable degree programs and multiple learning formats have helped to fuel these increases. The university’s increasing enrollment has resulted in The Chronicle of Higher Education’s annual report once again placing SEU among the top institutions in the country. SEU was recognized as the second fastest-growing private doctoral university in the nation from 2013 to 2023, with enrollment increasing 202.9%, from 3,434 to 10,400 students. The university was also ranked as the third largest producer of degrees in theology and religious vocations nationwide. Together, these recognitions highlight SEU’s continued growth and impact in preparing students for academic, professional and faith-based success. SEU was also once again recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a Top Performer in Social Mobility, ranked 118th out of 433 universities — placing SEU in the top 27 percentile nationwide. This distinction highlights universities that provide pathways for students from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds to achieve success. In addition, U.S. News & World Report listed SEU among the Best National Universities, reflecting its broad academic offerings and commitment to rigorous education. SEU is also recognized nationally for its graduate-level social work program. SEU offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs fully online, on its main campus in Lakeland, Florida, and at its partner sites nationwide. Several of these programs were recognized by Niche. Niche ranked SEU for degree programs such as ministry and religious programs, communications and business. SEU was ranked 15 out of 31 for the Best Colleges for Communications in Florida and 17 out of 55 for Best Colleges for Business in Florida. Beyond these, SEU’s ministry and religious programs earned national recognition. Niche ranked SEU 69 out of 326 for Best Colleges of Religious Studies. Along with being recognized for its academics, SEU also received rankings for its campus environment. Niche highlighted SEU in several categories, reflecting both its community and student experience. SEU was ranked 12 out of 41 for Best College Campus in Florida and 28 out of 71 for Best Student Life of Colleges in Florida.
