Congratulations to Lyndsay Health, our September 2025 Small Business of the Month! With a mission to change the way the community experiences health care, Lyndsay Health was created to address a gap in affordable healthcare access. “I Started Lyndsay Health because I saw a need among small business owners and Individuals that didn't have access to affordable health care,” said founder Nikki McWaters, FNP. “I wanted to provide an option that was affordable and accessible to members of our community.” The practice operates on a Direct Primary Care model, removing insurance carriers from the process. “For a low monthly fee, our clients have unlimited visits, access to Primary care, Wellness, as well as sick or injury related visits,” McWaters explained. “Eliminating the Insurance carriers as the ‘middle man’ allows more medical freedom, as well as lower costs for our clients.” For business owners, this model offers a cost-effective employee benefit. “We offer this plan to business owners for their team at a fraction of what insurance costs, this allows businesses to care for their employees and offer a benefit that is actually useful and affordable.” Lyndsay Health also views its work as community impact. “At Lyndsay Health we not only remove the barriers to access but also help our clients navigate the challenges related to accessing healthcare,” McWaters said. Being named Small Business of the Month is a milestone for the practice. “It is an compliment and honor to be selected,” said McWaters. “We want to support small businesses with challenges related to healthcare access, so this is wonderful opportunity to share what we are all about!” Lyndsay Health credits the Chamber with helping grow the practice through networking and partnerships. “My experience with the Lakeland Chamber has been one filled with opportunities to meet and learn from other business owners and I have established great referral partners and a community of support within the Chamber membership!” Click here to watch Nikki's Small Business of the Month interview.
