LAKELAND, FL – Less than 10 years since opening their first High Quality, High Volume Spay/Neuter Clinic, TLC PetSnip, Inc. has performed their 100,000th spay/neuter surgery. The local nonprofit, born out of a dream by founder Terry Sandlak and her late mother LaVernePeyton, works tirelessly to provide high-quality, affordable, and accessible veterinary care to all cats and dogs in need. TLC PetSnip, Inc. is the first non-profit spay/neuter and wellness organization in Polk County, established at 1701 East Gary Road in 2013. TLC PetSnip, Inc. serves Polk and surrounding counties by offering affordable High Quality, High Volume Spay/Neuter and medical appointments. As the need and demand for these services grew, the organization outgrew its original space. Fortunately, there was a solution right next door. In 2022, TLC PetSnip Inc. opened the Peyton Surgical Center as a dedicated spay/neuter facility. All wellness visits remained in the original building, allowing for a more streamlined, efficient operation. With the new surgical center in operation, veterinarians are able to see over 300 patients for surgery and treat nearly 200 patients in the medical center each week. Executive Director Emily Lorenzano has been with the organization since day one. "It is incredible to think of the lives that have been saved,” said Lorenzano. “Not only from the obvious overpopulation benefits of spay/neuter, but also the health benefits. By offering all our affordable services, families are able to properly care for their pets and keep them in loving homes. I am blessed and so grateful for all of our veterinarians, staff, and the community that supports us." TLC PetSnip, Inc is a 501(c)3 nonprofit who believes every animal deserves a loving home with an owner that can afford veterinary care, and that no pet should go without medical care due to financial restrictions. Their mission is to provide high-quality, affordable, and accessible veterinary care for all pet owners in a caring and compassionate way.
