Polk County Public Schools (PCPS) has announced upcoming increases to varsity football ticket prices, effective for the 2025-26 and 2027-28 school years. These changes are part of our district’s ongoing commitment to supporting student-athletes, maintaining high-quality athletic programs, and meeting rising operational costs. Beginning with the 2025-26 school year, the price of a regular admission varsity football ticket will increase from $6 to $7. In the 2027-28 school year, the ticket price will be adjusted again, increasing from $7 to $8. “We understand the importance of athletics in our students’ educational experience, and the role these events play in bringing our community together,” said Dan Talbot, PCPS’ senior director of athletics. “These incremental adjustments will help us continue to provide safe, well-equipped facilities and meaningful opportunities for our student-athletes, while also addressing increased costs associated with hosting athletic events.” PCPS has not raised ticket prices since 2011, and has some of the lowest prices among school districts in Central Florida. The additional revenue generated from these price adjustments will be used to enhance equipment, as well as support transportation and security for all athletic events. PCPS remains committed to ensuring that all students and families have access to school events. The district will continue to offer discounted tickets for students, and options for season passes. For more information about the new ticket prices or to learn about available assistance programs, please email athletics@polk-fl.net. PCPS serves more than 10,000 student-athletes, and is dedicated to providing high-quality education and extracurricular opportunities for all students.
