St. Petersburg, Fla. – June 17, 2025 – Publix Super Markets and their generous customers have reached an impressive milestone, raising more than $10 million to support lifesaving care at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital. Through decades of participation in the annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ Miracle Balloon campaign, Publix continues to make a powerful impact on the lives of children and families across the Tampa Bay region. Funds raised at Publix locations in the following counties benefit Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital: Citrus, De Soto, Hardee, Hernando, Highlands, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sarasota. Each summer, shoppers at Publix stores across the Southeast are invited to donate at checkout—one dollar at a time. With every coupon balloon purchased, customers help fund critical programs and services including medical equipment, groundbreaking research, patient and family support programs and more. “Publix customers have shown us the power of community compassion, and we are deeply grateful,” said Jenine Rabin, Executive Vice President at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Foundation. “Every dollar raised represents hope for a child in need and helps ensure our hospital can provide expert, family-centered care close to home.” The success of the campaign is a direct reflection of the commitment of Publix associates, who work hard to engage their customers in meaningful ways. “At Publix, giving back is part of who we are,” said Lindsey Willis, Publix Media Relations Manager, Publix Super Markets. “We’re proud to collaborate with Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital through the Children’s Miracle Network Miracle Balloon campaign and are incredibly thankful to our associates and customers for their continued generosity. Together, we’re helping to build healthier tomorrows for countless children.” Since 1992, Publix has supported Johns Hopkins All Children’s, turning everyday shopping into generosity that changes lives. The $10 million milestone represents a legacy of giving that will continue to change kids’ health—and change the future.
