Bartow, FL – Central Florida Health Care (CFHC) is delighted to announce the opening of a second location in Bartow! The new Bartow Pediatrics Health Center, located at 1350 E Main St, Building A, Suite 5, is situated steps away from the Bartow Primary Health Center, offering a convenient solution for families with children. The Bartow Primary Health Center provides comprehensive medical services to adults and features a full-service pharmacy. Bartow Pediatrics offers primary pediatric care, well baby/child visits, school & sports physicals, immunizations, flu Shots, and same-day sick visits.
CFHC acquired Children’s Medical Center from Dr. Ricardo Arguello who recently retired. The new Bartow Pediatric Health Center will soon welcome Dr. Jessica Lopez Phelps, M.D., a board-certified pediatrician with an impressive 20 years of experience. Her expertise and compassionate care have benefited a diverse community of infants, children, and adolescents, and we are excited to have her on board.
Central Florida Health Care, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is experiencing a surge in patients, and this new health center is an exciting step in our expansion of services.
In 2024, Central Florida Health Care demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the community by serving around 80-thousand patients throughout its health centers in Polk, Highlands, and Hardee Counties. Patients made more than 250 thousand visits to fulfill their healthcare needs. While Central Florida Health Care is not a free clinic, it is a beacon of support for our community. CFHC is committed to providing care to anyone, regardless of their ability to pay. CFHC accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and most insurances and is here to help the uninsured and underinsured by offering a sliding fee scale.
