Gourmet Indoor Market Featuring Locally-Sourced, Health-Conscious Food Products Now Carries Feasts of Persia Packaged Foods
Feasts of Persia, a local meal prep and catering service, is proud to announce that it is now offering packaged foods through The Old South Country Market.
Farhad and Gianna Rahmani, husband-and-wife of Feasts of Persia (FOP) were introduced to Addiz Rosenthal and Jessica Hauth, mother-and-daughter of The Old South Country Market (OSCM), on April 9, 2025, by a mutual friend. Coach Josh Corbett of Coach Corbett, LLC is part of FOP’s health and wellness collaboration, Fuel Our Power, and leads a youth group at Church for the One, where Jessica’s daughter is a member.
“Wow wow wow your hummus is DELICIOUS!!!” messaged Jessica after bringing a container home to her family. “We all ate it last night and I had the left over this morning!!! So delicious and clean! We would love to order 10 to begin with while we figure out what else we can add.” On April 12th, three short days after the introduction and tasting, FOP’s popular Hummus was on OSCM’s shelf for sale.
Since then, the Hummus has flown off the shelves being restocked twice already and needing more again, with Beef Kabobs, Lentil Soup (Adasi), and Falafel – all fully-cooked and ready-to-heat – and FOP’s house recipe Tahini Sauce added to the lineup. The local community embraced the opportunity to support FOP, OSCM, and several other small, local, family businesses such as My Tiny Greens, Spurzile’s Gourmet, and The Apothic Fox with a limo ride to the indoor market from Garcia’s Events and Limos.
FOP posted this on social media last Monday: “Staying positive, keeping the faith, and feeling gratitude doesn't mean it's always easy. Having our kabobs sold in stores is the ultimate dream come true for Feasts of Persia, but let us be the first to tell you how challenging it has been to get here. The details aren't what we focus on, but if you needed a reminder to keep going, just know that if a refugee and an immigrant who once lived in an attic can sell kabobs in Polk County, you can do anything you put your heart and mind to! Many thanks to The Old South Country Market for welcoming us into their family, and much love to all FOP Family always.”
