Polk County Bully Project’s Celebrates New Outdoor Kennel, ‘A Safe Place For Strays’

We were thrilled to help celebrate Polk County Bully Project’s new outdoor kennel, ‘A Safe Place For Strays’! Thank you for all that you do to help so many of our community’s dogs that are in need.

** Polk County Bully Project received a grant to help build a new structure which provides a secure place for a citizen to place a dog found overnight versus leaving it on the road. While we strongly encourage people to try to hold onto the dog to verify its chip in the morning, we realize this is not an option for everyone. Our new outdoor kennels are a safe location where a dog can be dropped off to keep them off the road!

We are a 501(c)3 non-profit dog rescue focused on ending breed discrimination and getting every dog into a home. While our county may practice breed discrimination (check out the laws on which dogs are deemed adoptable to the general public), we do not. Every dog matters to us. We are currently advocating for spay/neuter vouchers and backyard breeding laws with the county. We receive no state funding and survive strictly off of community support and the few grants we are able to obtain. We have a small number of staff to ensure proper medical and socialization is given to our dogs but rely heavily on our volunteer army to fill the gap when needed.

Thank you to our top investors
