Achievement Academy announces a charitable gift of $5,000 from the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation. The funds will be used within the Achievement Academy Growing Together: Birth to Three program. Funds will be utilized to purchase invaluable educational materials to benefit infants and tod dlers throughout Polk County. Selected by trained Early Intervention Specialists, materials will be "child specific," meeting the unique learning needs of that child.
Achievement Academy President, Kristin Aiken shares, “Our Birth to Three Early Interventionists visit a child’s home once a month with activities for language, cognitive, social, emotional, and motor skill development. Each of our Early Interventionists serve 60-70 families in 14 Polk municipalities. Appropriate developmental materials are a critical component of the program. By providing Boppy pillows, swaddling blankets, stacking blocks, and high contrast toys among other materials, parents are able to reinforce skills between our monthly visits. Suncoast Credit Union Foundation is providing materials to empower families and change futures.”
Suncoast Credit Union, Florida’s largest credit union, founded the Suncoast Credit Union Foundation to pro mote the education, health and emotional well-being of children in the community.
