CareerSource Polk is inviting Polk County businesses to participate in the Best Places to Work Lunch & Learn, which will provide insight into the 2024 Best Places to Work application process. This informative session is designed to help local employers understand the value of applying for this prestigious award and how the recognition can positively impact their organizations. The Best Places to Work Lunch & Learn will be held on March 19, 2025, from 11:30 am – 1:00 pm, at the Winter Haven Chamber of Commerce in the 2nd floor auditorium (401 Avenue B NW, Winter Haven, FL 33881). First-time applicants attending the session will receive a $50 credit toward their application fee. The annual Best Places to Work Awards celebrate businesses that demonstrate excellence in workplace practices, including employee motivation, training, development, and work-life balance. Attendees of the Lunch & Learn will gain: A detailed overview of the application process. Insights into what the judging panel looks for in award-winning companies. Testimonials from past award recipients on the benefits of being recognized. Applications are evaluated by an external panel of Human Resources professionals, and an anonymous employee survey will also be conducted to assess workplace satisfaction and work-life balance. The results will be shared with each respective employer. Winners will be honored during the CareerSource Polk Annual Meeting and Best Places to Work Awards Breakfast on August 21, 2025, in Lakeland, Florida. Awardees will receive recognition through various mediums, including a wall plaque, promotional materials, and inclusion in CareerSource Polk’s Annual Report.
