LAKELAND, FL - The City of Lakeland is excited to announce the Plantae-Palooza Garden Festival, taking place at Hollis Garden on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This FREE event will feature a diverse selection of vendors offering a wide variety of plants, including: - Orchids, Bromeliads, Tillandsias, Aroids, Desert Roses, Plumerias, Tropical Plants - Annual & Perennial Flowers, House Plants, String of Plants, Caladiums, Amaryllis, Camellias - Ferns, Roses, Grasses, Exotic Fruit Trees, Native Plants, Succulents, Caudiciforms, Carnivorous Plants - Butterfly Attractants, Bamboo, Spices, Herbs, Rare Flowering Trees, Palms, Cycads, and more! Wesley Sours, who oversees Hollis Garden as part of the Parks Division, shared his enthusiasm, “We are thrilled to host the fourth Plantae-Palooza Garden Festival and Plant Sale. This FREE event has become a favorite in the plant community. Our Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Arts Department is proud to welcome everyone to Hollis Garden to celebrate horticulture in Lakeland’s botanical treasure. Local plant societies and garden clubs will also be present to share their expertise and answer any questions.” Featured Vendors include: - Tropiflora - Paradise Found - Critter Companions by Kenny Coogan - George 4 Plants - The Lakeland Garden Club - Lakeland Camellia Society - Florida Native Plant Society (with plants from The Nectary in Lakeland) - Central Florida Palm & Cycad Society A portion of the event’s proceeds will benefit the Hollis Garden Perpetual Care Fund. Located at 614 East Orange Street in downtown Lakeland, Hollis Garden is a stunning 1.2-acre botanical display garden nestled within historic Lake Mirror Park. Featuring over 10,000 flowers, ornamental shrubs, and native trees, it boasts a neo-classical architectural design, patterned flower beds, public art, and ornamental fountains.
