Watson Clinic is pleased to welcome two new additions to their team of expert physicians.
Faria Ahmed, MD, MPH is an OB-GYN who treats patients from the Watson Clinic Highlands location at 2300 E. County Road 540A in south Lakeland. Her areas of expertise include general obstetrics and gynecology care, high risk pregnancy and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery. Dr. Ahmed received her Master of Public Health and Master of Social Work degrees from Washington University in St. Louis, MO, and her medical degree from the University of Missouri School of Medicine. She completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at TriHealth in Cincinnati, OH. She is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Medical Women’s Association. Appointments with Dr. Ahmed may be scheduled by calling 863-680-7243.
Madiha M. Alvi, MD, FACP, FACE is an Endocrinology specialist who treats patients from Watson Clinic Main at 1600 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland. Her areas of expertise include the treatment of thyroid and parathyroid disorders, diabetes, pituitary and adrenal disorders, metabolic bone disease/osteoporosis, female sexual health, polycystic ovary syndrome, menopause, and perimenopause. Dr. Alvi received her medical degree from Punjab University/Fatima Jinnah Medical College for Women in Lahore, Pakistan. She went on to complete a residency in Internal Medicine at Bassett Medical Center/Columbia University in New York, NY, and an Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism fellowship at the University of Vermont/Fletcher Allen Healthcare in Burlington, VT.
