Southeastern University (SEU) has been honored as a 2024-2025 College of Distinction due to its dedication to fostering hands-on learning, strong student-faculty relationships, an active campus community and stellar student outcomes. In its fifth year as a College of Distinction, SEU received special recognition in the Florida and Christian colleges categories, as well as in Business, Education, Nursing, Affordability and Career Development. Unlike traditional ranking systems, Colleges of Distinction has a rigorous selection process that involves extensive research and detailed interviews with institutions. In order to be accepted, an institution must adhere to the Four Distinctions: Engaged Students, Great Teaching, Vibrant Community and Successful Outcomes. “We are so impressed to see how SEU brings life to the traditional undergraduate experience. With a welcoming community, an immersive curriculum and strong support networks, SEU is undoubtedly nurturing the growth of tomorrow’s leaders,” said Tyson Schritter, Colleges of Distinction’s chief operating officer. With awards in the Business, Education and Nursing categories, SEU was recognized for its well-rounded curriculum and hands-on learning experiences that prepare its students with strong leadership skills and the ability to thrive in the evolving workforce. The categories of Affordability and Career Development acknowledge that SEU is committed to assisting cost-conscious students and parents in navigating the landscape of college financing, as well as providing the resources needed for success beyond graduation. “We are deeply honored to be recognized once again as a College of Distinction,” said SEU President Kent Ingle. “This accolade reflects our unwavering commitment to providing a transformative education that prepares our students to excel both academically and in their future careers. It is a testament to the dedication of our faculty and staff, who tirelessly work to create an environment where our students can thrive.” This press release can also be found on the SEU Blog.
