Central Florida Health Care (CFHC) is growing and has expanded its services to the newly renovated second floor at the Davenport Health Center, located at 130 Ridge Center Drive. The second floor, opening on July 1, 2024, is designed with your convenience in mind, making it easily accessible for all residents. Central Florida Health Care, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is experiencing a patient surge. In 2023, this location saw 6,346 patients and received 16,245 visits. CEO Ann Claussen says, “With the continued growth and needs in the Davenport area, CFHC purchased 3,729 sq. ft. on the 2nd floor to allow us to serve more patients at this location. With an HRSA grant, we have renovated the new OB/GYN and pediatric services space. We will continue to provide adult medical, dental, endocrinology, and podiatry services on the 1st floor. It is truly a blessing to continue to expand and provide care in the Davenport area.” In 2023, Central Florida Health Care demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the community by serving over 76-thousand patients throughout its health centers in Polk, Highlands, and Hardee Counties. Patients made more than 250-thousand visits to fulfill their healthcare needs. While Central Florida Health Care is not a free clinic, it is a beacon of support for our community. CFHC is committed to providing care to anyone, regardless of their ability to pay. CFHC accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and most insurances and is here to help the uninsured and underinsured by offering a sliding fee scale. This commitment to accessible and affordable healthcare services is a testament to our dedication to the health and well-being of the residents of Davenport. Central Florida Health Care will host a Northeast Polk Chamber after hours event at the health center to celebrate the new addition. Since its establishment in 1972, Central Florida Health Care, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, has been dedicated to serving the Polk, Highlands, and Hardee Communities.
