The facility, strategically located at 1190 E Church St in the downtown area, will open its doors on July 1, 2024, making it easily accessible for all residents. Central Florida Health Care, a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), is experiencing a surge in patients, and this new health center will further expand its services. This will be the 16th CFHC location, offering a comprehensive range of medical services, a state-of-the-art lab, and a full-service pharmacy all under one roof. This comprehensive approach to healthcare ensures that all your healthcare needs can be met in one place, providing a sense of reassurance and convenience for the residents of Bartow. CEO Ann Claussen says, "Central Florida Health Care is excited to open a new health center in Bartow. We have discussed expanding services to the city for several years, and our recent needs assessment strongly supported this opportunity. We will open with medical staff and pharmacy services. We will be looking for property in Bartow to build a larger health center to expand services to include pediatrics, dental, OB-GYN, and behavioral health for the Bartow residents." In 2023, Central Florida Health Care demonstrated its unwavering commitment to the community by serving over 76-thousand patients throughout its health centers in Polk, Highlands, and Hardee Counties. Patients made more than 250-thousand visits to fulfill their healthcare needs. While Central Florida Health Care is not a free clinic, it is a beacon of support for our community. CFHC is committed to providing care to anyone, regardless of their ability to pay. CFHC accepts Medicaid, Medicare, and most insurances and is here to help the uninsured and underinsured by offering a sliding fee scale.
