Lakeland Surgical & Diagnostic Center (LSDC) has distinguished itself as one of the largest free-standing Ambulatory Surgical Centers in the state since its opening in April of 1996. The center’s two Lakeland locations have long been operated as a partnership between Lakeland Regional Health (LRH), Watson Clinic and Jay Mulaney, MD. Effective Monday, April 29, this current partnership will transition to a new structure. At that time, LRH will own and operate the LSDC facility located at 818 Griffin Road in Lakeland (known as the Griffin Campus) under the new name Lakeland Regional Health Surgery Center. Watson Clinic will own and operate the LSDC facility at 1315 North Florida Avenue in Lakeland (known as the Florida campus) under the name Watson Clinic Surgery Center. Watson Clinic has also acquired the operations of LSDC’s former Corporate Campus at 115 South Missouri Avenue in Lakeland. LRH and Watson Clinic have worked closely together to ensure that there will be minimal disruption to patient care during this transition. However, due to the nature of insurance company operations, LRH and Watson Clinic may be required to contact some patients to reschedule an existing appointment. For additional information, including a complete list of insurance plans each facility will honor, please visit SurgeryCenter.MyLRH.org or WatsonSurgeryCenter.com.
