Polk County Supervisor of Elections Lori Edwards announced that the city of Haines City will be conducting a Run-Off Election, on April 30 following the results of the April 2 Municipal Elections. Per Haines City’s charter, if no candidate receives more than 50% of the votes cast, a Run-Off election is to be held between the top two finalists. “Haines City voters will decide the outcome of the City Commission Seat 4 race between Clarence Daniels and Kim Downing,” said Ms. Edwards. Registered voters who have moved or had a name change are encouraged to update their record with the Elections Office before the April 30th Run-Off Election.
