Polk County is currently looking for a resident to serve on the Housing Finance Authority. Advisory groups play a critical role in Polk County’s government. Some are required by state law and others were created by the Polk County Board of County Commissioners to act as advisors in specific areas. The Housing Finance Authority focuses on creating more affordable housing opportunities in Polk County. The authority meets on an as-needed basis in the Commissioners’ Conference Room, No. 407, located at the County Administration Building. This appointment is for the remainder of a term ending January 25, 2025. The member appointed by the Board may be selected to continue is subsequent terms.
