Election Day tips for hassle-free voting

Florida’s Republican Presidential Preference Primary Election is Tuesday, March 19th, and Supervisor of Elections Lori Edwards has some helpful tips for Polk County voters.

  • Only voters registered with the Republican party can participate in this election, as they will vote for their preferred nominee to run in the presidential election in November
  • Bring photo and signature ID to the polls to be able to vote
  • The polls are open from 7 am until 7 pm on Election Day
  • A voter may take their sample ballot into the polling room on Election Day
  • A voter who’s address, name, or signature has changed is advised to notify the Elections Office before Election Day
  • Double check your polling location; some have changed for this election. Call the Elections Office at (863) 534-5888 or visit the “2024 Republican Presidential Preference Primary Election” web page at PolkElections.gov.
