This week, as a part of our new Holiday Gift Giving series, we took a trip to Bungalow Boutique & Gifts. This local Lakeland shop is one of our favorite places for finding chic clothing and accessories, Swan City inspired items, jewelry, and much more! We met up with Christine Boring, Owner of Bungalow Boutique & Gifts who gave us a brief history of her boutique. “My Friend Mary Whitty had opened the shop in 2012…and it was an art gallery with some different vendors in it. The shop closed in 2016 and I took over the lease from her and wasn’t quite sure what I was going to do. But some of the artist and vendor stayed, and as they left, we started putting the clothes in,” said Boring. Christine said that in 2018 she rebranded the shop into Bungalow Boutique & Gifts, which is a name many Lakelander’s have come to know and love. When you walk into Bungalow Boutique, you immediately notice their neatly placed array of clothing from various parts of the world lining the walls, and a selection of jewelry and accessories. As you make your way throughout different parts of the boutique, you soon get a sense of all the unique items they have to offer. “We have all kinds of things that women love,” said Christine. This includes Pampering products, soaps, lotions, perfumes, sleeping masks, clothing, and more. During the holiday season, Christine says they stock some “beautiful” Christmas ornaments that would be hard to find anywhere else.
