Lakeland, Florida - Join animal supporters at SPCA Florida’s Inaugural Run for Their Lives 5K Race at Peterson Park on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 7:30 a.m. Runners will be professionally timed by FITnitche. Dedicated runners will start the chip-timed 5K, followed by casual runners, walkers, families, and dogs. A complimentary breakfast will be provided, along with the award ceremony at the conclusion of the race. Every quarter mile will be a photo of one of thirteen dogs and cats that represent more than 4,000 animals who will benefit from the run. Participation or donations will help SPCA Florida care for homeless animals this year. Adult registration fee includes a Race Shirt and Custom Medal for only $40.00 until September 14th. Kiddie Dash registration fee (9 years or younger) is $10. A virtual run is available for those who want to help but cannot attend.
