Polk Vision in partnership with Polk County Government FL is hosting “Conversations in Behavioral Health: Navigating the Digital Age” on May 1 at the Polk State College Center for Public Safety Campus in Winter Haven.
Hear from Keynote Speaker, Dr. Lisa Strohman, as she guides us through the challenges of raising responsible digital citizens and the realities of technology in our homes.
Other professionals include Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, Polk County Public Schools Superintendent Frederick Heid, published author and registered mental health counselor Amanda Wilson, and former school principal and published author, Dana Chandler.
Speakers at this event will provide invaluable insights into the dangers of not maintaining a healthy balance with technology and provide strategies we can implement to protect our children and youth.
A grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, a program of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, funds 100 percent ($123,672) of costs for this program.
