LAKELAND, FL (January 20, 2023) - The City of Lakeland Wastewater Collection Division will need to repair a broken sewer lateral beneath Lime Street between Tennessee Avenue and Kentucky Avenue. The work is scheduled to begin on Monday morning (January 23rd) around 9 a.m. and will continue until completion. It is estimated that the work will take several days to complete so motorist are encouraged to avoid the area during the project. Lime Street will be totally closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic between Tennessee Avenue and Kentucky Avenue. There will be road closure signs and detours set-up to eliminate through traffic between South Florida Avenue and Massachusetts Avenue while construction is taking place. Sidewalks in the construction area between Kentucky Avenue and Tennessee Avenue will be closed. A detour route will be in place using South Florida Avenue to Orange Street to Massachusetts Avenue
