Watson Clinic is pleased to introduce the following new additions to their team of expert physicians and medical providers. Dany K. Barrak, MD, MPH is a General Surgery/Surgical Oncology specialist who treats patients from Watson Clinic Main at 1600 Lakeland Hills Blvd. in Lakeland. His areas of expertise include general surgery, minimally invasive surgery and complex surgical oncology. Dr. Barrak received his medical degree from the University of Balamand in Balamand, Lebanon, and his Mater of Public Health and Healthcare Management degree from the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon. He completed a Surgical Internship at the American University of Beirut in Beirut, Lebanon, a General Surgery residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC, a Complex General Surgical Oncology Research Fellowship at the University of Southern California, Norris Cancer Center, in Los Angeles, CA, and an additional fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology at Fox Chase Cancer Center in Philadelphia, PA. Dr. Blankenship received her Master of Science in Women’s Health degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL, and her medical degree from Florida State University in Tallahassee, FL. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, FL, and her fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Texas in San Antonio, TX. She is a member of the Western Association of Gynecologic Oncologists, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
